During the summer, what happens to all the kids who are dependent on school-issued lunches?  Country Home Learning Center and San Antonio Food Bank aren’t waiting around to find out.  Together with KENS5 News, they’ve joined forces in the fight against child hunger.
The natural partnership developed last year when the Food bank doubled their campaign goal, feeding almost two million meals to children and families in need. At Country Home Learning Center, we teach our students the value of giving back to the community and San Antonio Food Bank helps us put that learning into action.  Our desire is to come along side families in need so parents can ensure their kids are eating nutritious meals even in the summer months.
If you’re looking to get involved, here are a few ways to help:

  1. Drop off donations at any of the centers around San Antonio, including Country Home Learning Center.
  2. Make a donation at SAFoodBank.org and find a list of even more drop-off locations. Remember: $1 = 7 meals!
  3. Volunteer to help make the meals at San Antonio Food Bank. 5,000 meals are packed per day which requires a lot of hands on deck!

Thank you,
Your Friends at Country Home Learning Center
