Welcome to Country Home Learning Center’s Southwest Austin campus, where learning is an adventure, and every child is valued, supported, and inspired. Our learning center has been serving this community since 1993 and is conveniently located just minutes from Circle C Ranch, Shady Hollow, Covered Bridge, and Maple Run. Our Escarpment Blvd campus is a natural choice for families throughout the 78737, 78739, and 78749 zip codes. We are proud to be the trusted partner of families from Mills, Bear Creek, Clayton, and Baldwin elementaries. We welcome children from 6 weeks through 13 years, providing infant and toddler care, preschool and kindergarten classes, as well as after-school and summer camp programs.

Our optional programs include Kinderdance® and Soccer Shots.

We believe every child deserves to be truly seen, and that starts with who’s in the room. Our teacher-to-child ratios exceed Texas state licensing standards at every age, so your child gets more one-on-one time, more meaningful connections, and more of the attentive care they deserve. It’s one of the many ways we seek to know your child and encourage their development.

Our experienced teachers and dedicated administrators create a nurturing environment filled with hands-on learning from our Cognia-accredited, play-based curriculum designed to build creativity, confidence, and genuine school readiness. For 5-year-olds ready to take the next step, our Excel Program provides a more advanced, structured learning experience to prepare them for elementary school and beyond.

Our Texas Rising Star certified center is more than just a daycare, it’s a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child feels right at home. We’d love to show you around. Come tour our campus and see why Texas families have trusted Country Home for over 40 years.

FAQs

About Childcare at Country Home Learning Center

Why do families stay with the Country Home Learning Center Southwest Austin campus long-term?2026-05-26T09:16:49-04:00

Because the relationships that your child builds here are an integral part of their development. We don’t just care for your children; they are a part of our community. Our teacher-to-child ratios are lower than Texas state licensing standards at every age, so your child gets more one-on-one time, more meaningful connections, and more of the attentive care they deserve. Children who start as infants grow up knowing their teachers, and parents become part of a community of families who’ve been on the same journey. For many Southwest Austin families, that type of continuity is exactly what they are looking for.

Do you have a waitlist for infants at your Southwest Austin location?2026-04-28T17:43:58-04:00

Infant spots are our most requested and fill quickly. We encourage families to reach out well before their due date to learn about current availability. Contact our Southwest Austin campus directly, and we’ll walk you through your options.

How do you support children’s social and emotional development?2026-04-28T16:42:28-04:00

Social and emotional development isn’t a separate curriculum item. At Country Home Learning Center, social/emotional learning is woven into every part of the day. From how we structure group time and lessons to how teachers guide conflict resolution and help children build friendships, we’re intentional about helping kids develop the tools they’ll rely on in kindergarten and beyond.

What is the outdoor environment like at your Southwest Austin campus?2026-04-28T16:40:21-04:00

Our outdoor spaces are designed for active, exploratory play with shaded structures, open areas for movement, and an environment that encourages kids to get outside and engage with the world around them. Our Southwest Austin location features a splash pad and water deck, a putt-putt course, and developmentally appropriate shaded playgrounds built for your child’s growth. For families in Southwest Austin who value time outdoors, our outdoor spaces are a natural extension of our approach to learning.

What do parents appreciate most about your Southwest Austin location?2026-04-28T16:38:59-04:00

Most often, families mention three things: the staff who truly know their child, the campus amenities like our gym, technology center, and water park, and the feeling that this center is part of their community, not just a service they’re purchasing.

Is your Southwest Austin campus certified by Texas Rising Star?2026-04-28T16:36:58-04:00

Yes. Texas Rising Star is a quality rating system administered by the Texas Workforce Commission that certifies programs exceeding the state’s minimum childcare standards. Earning this certification reflects our ongoing commitment to high-quality care, and gives families an independent, third-party validation of what we do every day.

How long has your Southwest Austin location been serving families?2026-04-28T16:34:58-04:00

Country Home Learning Center has been serving Texas families since 1982, and our Southwest Austin location reflects that long-standing commitment to quality childcare. Our history provides a solid foundation for your child’s early education, and a decades-long reputation that you can trust.

What safety features are in place at your Southwest Austin campus?2026-05-26T09:19:30-04:00
At Country Home Learning Center, the well-being of every child is our highest priority. Your child’s safety isn’t a policy; it’s our promise to you. We are committed to creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence. Our staff follows strict health and safety procedures designed to protect children and maintain a secure learning environment for families and employees.
From the moment you walk through our doors, safety is built into everything at Country Home Learning Center. Our building uses a controlled entry system, so only authorized individuals ever set foot inside. Every classroom is designed for clear, unobstructed visibility, so no child is ever out of a teacher’s sight. Our administrators monitor classrooms to ensure that safety procedures are consistently followed, and all staff are required to pass thorough background checks both before they’re hired and throughout their employment. Outside, our children play in fully fenced, secure areas, and every off-site activity or field trip is carefully planned with safety as the priority.
Why do families in Circle C Ranch choose your Southwest Austin location?2026-04-28T17:48:50-04:00

Families in Circle C Ranch choose us because we’re close to home, a consistent presence in this community for decades, and offer the kind of personalized care you won’t find at larger chains. Our staff knows families by name, and many of our enrolled families have referred their neighbors, family, and friends, which speaks volumes about the trust we’ve built here.

How close is your campus to neighborhoods like Shady Hollow and Bear Creek?2026-04-28T15:35:14-04:00

Our Escarpment Blvd campus, just around the corner from Escarpment Village, is minutes from Shady Hollow, Bear Creek, and Circle C Ranch. Whether you’re heading toward the 290/71 corridor or commuting into downtown Austin, drop-off and pick-up fit naturally into your route. Our campus is a natural choice for many families throughout the 78739 and 78749 zip codes.

What makes your Southwest Austin daycare feel different from other centers near Escarpment Village?2026-04-28T17:48:02-04:00

In an area with many childcare options, we stand out through our small class sizes, staff who stay year after year, our play-based Cognia accredited and Texas Rising Star certified programs, and a genuinely warm environment that larger centers struggle to replicate. Parents who’ve toured other nearby programs consistently tell us the difference is evident the moment they walk in.

Do you provide meals for children at your Southwest Austin campus?2026-05-26T09:24:54-04:00

Yes, we serve home-cooked meals prepared fresh every day. We are proud to offer nutritious, home-cooked meals. Our morning snack, hot lunch, and afternoon snack are prepared at the center and served in each classroom. All of our meals are well-balanced and planned to meet your child’s nutritional requirements. Our menus are posted monthly, and copies are available from the Director. You are welcome and encouraged to drop by and join your child for lunch when your schedule permits. Just let us know by 10:00 a.m. so that we can include you in our lunch plans. We ask that our parents encourage their children to either eat breakfast before coming to school or join us for our optional breakfast program. This gives your child the extra fuel needed for a busy morning.

How does your preschool program support kindergarten readiness in Southwest Austin?2026-04-28T17:46:57-04:00

Our curriculum is accredited by Cognia and certified by Texas Rising Star. Cognia is the same accreditation body that evaluates K-12 public and private schools. Our accreditation and certification mean our program meets rigorous educational standards. Children build early literacy, math foundations, and the social/emotional skills they’ll need at Kiker, Bear Creek, Baldwin, or wherever their elementary journey takes them.

What age groups do you serve at your Southwest Austin location?2026-04-28T16:24:47-04:00

We provide care for children from infancy through school age,  including toddler, preschool, kindergarten, after-school care, and summer camp programs tailored to support each developmental stage. Families who start with us in the infant room often stay all the way through elementary school care, so your child never has to start over with a new set of caregivers, and you never have to rebuild that trust from scratch.

How do you compare to other daycares in the Escarpment Village area?2026-04-28T17:46:07-04:00

Where larger centers in this corridor prioritize volume, we prioritize relationships. Our intentionally smaller class sizes mean teachers genuinely know your child, their learning style, their comfort level, and what helps them settle in on a hard morning. Our play-based curriculum has your child learning from the early stages of development, and our facilities are structured for your child’s delight, development, and education.

Is your Southwest Austin location convenient for working parents?2026-04-28T16:29:33-04:00

Yes. Our Escarpment Blvd location sits at a natural crossroads for Southwest Austin families, whether you’re heading east toward downtown, north toward MoPac, or out toward 290/71. Drop-off takes minutes, so you can conveniently get to where you are going.

About Country Home Learning Center’s Exceptional Child Care Programs

“Choosing a day care is always nerve-wracking, but Country Home Learning Center has been a total blessing! The teachers are absolutely great and actually take the time to share ‘win’ stories about the children’s day. The daily updates and photos give parents such peace of mind while at work. I never had to wonder how my little one is doing. The campus is absolutely amazing, from the art in the hall to the indoor playground, and let’s not forget about the waterpark during the hot summer days! Country Home Learning Center has truly been a blessing to us all!”

Brianna L. , Country Home Learning Center Southwest Austin Parent

“We are so grateful for this day care and the incredible care they provide for our toddler. From day one, the staff made both us and our little one feel comfortable and welcome. It’s never easy leaving your child, but knowing they are in such loving and capable hands gives us complete peace of mind. The teachers are patient, nurturing, and truly attentive to each child’s individual needs. They take the time to understand our toddler’s personality, routines, and preferences, which has helped with a smooth transition. We love receiving updates and photos throughout the day, it’s reassuring to see how much fun they’re having!

The environment is clean, safe, and full of engaging activities that encourage learning and development. We’ve seen so much growth in our toddler’s communication skills, confidence, and social interactions since starting here. We couldn’t ask for more and highly recommend this day care to any parents looking for a caring, trustworthy place for their toddler.”

Karla G. , Country Home Learning Center Southwest Austin Parent

“We love this day care!! Switching our boys to a new day care, we were nervous about how they would adjust. They not only adjusted but are thriving! We have a hard time getting them to leave at the end of the day. The teachers and staff are amazing. Even teachers who are not their own say hi and recognize my boys as we walk down the halls. I love all of the extra activities they offer outside of day care. The indoor/outdoor playscape is great for the kids to play and burn off energy. The curriculum really challenges the kids and encourages them to grow and explore. Each classroom is full of color and fun decor. Without a doubt have zero regrets switching to Country Home! I highly recommend it.”

Ashley M. , Country Home Learning Center Southwest Austin Parent

“We love Country Home. With both of our boys currently enrolled, we’ve been blown away by the incredible sense of community. Our kids genuinely love all the teachers, even those they haven’t had in class yet! You can feel the positive energy the moment you walk through the doors, and it’s clear that the entire staff is dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive environment for the kids and parents. We couldn’t be happier with the care they receive and highly recommend it to any Austin family.”

Ryan T. , Country Home Learning Center Southwest Austin Parent

“Our family has been part of the Country Home community for about nine years, and we’ve had all four of our kids attend. Each started as an infant (around six months old) and stayed until moving on to Pre-K or kindergarten at our neighborhood school. Like any child care center, there’s some staff turnover, but the leadership and many of the teachers have been consistent throughout our time there. The director, front-office staff, and several longtime teachers have cared for every one of our boys. When staff did move on, it was typically for positive life changes—marriage, starting families, college, or transitioning to a local school—not because of issues at Country Home. We’re still in touch with a number of former teachers and often even use them as babysitters.

Our kids are all very different, and Country Home did a great job supporting each of them as individuals. Whenever a question or concern came up, the staff listened and worked with us to address it. We’ve been on both sides of typical toddler challenges—biting, potty training, hitting milestones early or late—and the teachers were consistently patient, encouraging, and thoughtful in how they handled things.

We’ve always felt confident recommending Country Home to other families and are happy to do so again.”
