If you’re looking for an Earth Day event the whole family can enjoy, the Earth Day 5K could be the ticket.
The Earth Day 5k is part of San Antonio’s “Fiesta” celebration held annually at Woodlawn Lake. There are 55 food & Fun booths, games for children, water rides, and other earthday activities. IN adition to all the fun, you and your kids can come dresses as Mr. or Miss “Earth Day” and win a special award.
As far as the race goes, trees will be given as awards to the first 3 males & females to finish in 13 age groups for this fitness fun run & family walk. Special Earth Day T-shirts will be given to the first 250 people to register & refreshments will be available for  all registered athletes. Click here for more event info.

With live music, presentations, guest speakers, food trucks, and a kid zone, Austin’s Earth Day Festival covers it all. They even have an electronics recycling center where you can responsibly dispose of all your out of date gadgets.
The festival takes place just east of downtown at the Historic Browning Hangar at Mueller from 12-7pm on Sat. April 20th. Click here for event details.
