Eco-Healthy Tip:
Keep aerosol spray away! Aerosol sprays, such as deodorants, hair sprays, carpet cleaners, furniture polish and air fresheners, spew invisible droplets of chemicals into the air. The invisible droplets are inhaled by children and can trigger both asthma and allergies.
Center Spotlight: “Dramatic Play ”
Interacting with others promotes communication, negotiation, problem solving and social skills. This interaction helps children learn while they play. The social center of the classroom is the “Dramatic Play Center,” which allows children to recreate everyday events in their lives, as well as use their imagination to create new social roles. Playing in this manner in a controlled, social environment allows children to learn more about the world in which we live.
Safety Reminder
Leaving a child alone in a car, even for a minute, is always a dangerous practice. With our days getting hotter, the risk of a catastrophe greatly increases. Please be aware of how quickly a car’s temperature rises when the A/C is off, even if the windows are partially down. Never leave your child unattended. We wish everyone a safe and happy summer!
