Students across the country are collecting pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters during the Pennies for Patients campaigns benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country, and this year Country Home Learning Center contributed to this amazing cause.
The funds were collected during a three-week period during the end of July and beginning of August. The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Our Country Home parents, children, and employees all added their spare change to collection boxes as they walked in and out of our front offices. We are excited to announce that because of your generosity we raised $710.75 for this great cause. This, however, is not the only exciting news. Because our Country Home family did such a great job raising money for this amazing foundation, Country Home decided to match what we originally collected. This means, that we are proud to announce that Country Home has donated over $1400 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We want to thank everyone who helped us generate this generous contribution!
