AdvancED accreditaionWe want every parent to know that we are very serious about the care and the education of your child. It is our goal to provide the highest levels of excellence in these areas. In our efforts to improve our schools, we have sought out and attained accreditation and certifications that ensure our centers are safe, healthy environments that help children thrive. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be explaining what the accreditation and the certifications mean to you and your child. Today, in part one of the series, we’ll take a closer look at what it means to be AdvancED accredited.
What Is AdvancED Accreditation
Right after we started this blog, we announced that Country Home Learning Center had earned AdvancED’s Corporate Accredidation. In that post, we noted that, “Country Home Learning Center achieved accreditation under the AdvancED District Accreditation Model. This means that the corporation and all of its schools are accredited, and that Country Home Learning Center is recognized across the nation as a quality education system.”
Accreditation helps assure parents of a school’s commitment to quality education by “engaging the school community in meeting high quality standards, implementing a continuous improvement process and engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review.”AdvancED is dedicated to advancing excellence in education worldwide. AdvancED accredits 27,000 public and private schools and districts across the United States and in 65 countries worldwide, educating 15 million students.

The AdvancED accreditation process involves three ongoing components:

1) meeting high quality standards;
2) implementing a continuous process of improvement; and
3) engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review.
“AdvancED helps us focus on constantly improving our quality, care, and curriculum.” said Country Home Executive Marianne Willms. Country Home Learning Center is committed to providing the best schools for you and your children, and earning this accreditation is just one of the ways we show parents that we are dedicated to their child’s care and education.
Why Accreditation Matters
“The AdvancED system helps guide our directors, teachers, and staff, and it encourages us to strive for constant improvement while infusing our schools with a feeling of enthusiasm!” said Willms when asked why she thinks the accreditation matters.
Parents should feel confident that their child is receiving the highest level of educational excellence, and that their teachers are excited about their job. AdvancED insists that all accredited schools relentlessly pursue excellence and constantly boost their performance to benefit their students. We earned this accreditation so that parents can confidently choose Country Home Learning Center knowing they are making a wise and informed decision about their child’s education.
Why It Matters To Us
AdvancED accreditation does not only benefit our students. By being part of a global network committed to standards of educational excellence, our directors and administrators have access to external and objective validation of the areas in which they’re doing well, and the areas for continuous improvement. Simply put, we have better tools for monitoring our progress, seeing the areas in which we are excelling, and discovering ways to improve.
In addition, we are partnering with an organization committed to shaping educational policy and improving learning practices. This means we hear the best available ideas and thinking on education practices and trends through innovative products, educational  technologies, and the collective knowledge of peers. And, we benefit from shared expertise and powerful professional learning through local and global workshops, training, conferences, and personalized service. Our directors, teachers, and staff are able to compare their skills and their teaching methods to a set of research based quality standards, and we’re able to make sure that each member of our team is meeting the high standards we and AdvancED have set.
Overall, AdvancED provides an effective system for increasing the performance of our schools and the development of our children by using accreditation as a dynamic catalyst for a continuous improvement process.
