Keeping Your Child Healthy & Safe at Country Home Learning Center
At Country Home Learning Center, the well-being of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence.
Our staff follows strict health and safety procedures designed to protect children and maintain a secure learning environment for families and employees.
How We Keep Your Child Safe
From the moment you walk through our doors, safety is built into everything at Country Home Learning Center. Our safety measures include:
- A controlled entry system designed so that only authorized individuals can enter
- Classrooms designed for clear, unobstructed visibility, so that children remain within a teacher’s sight
- Administrators who monitor classrooms to ensure safety procedures are consistently followed
- Thorough staff background checks, both before hire and throughout employment
- Fully fenced, secure outdoor play areas
- Off-site activities and field trips carefully planned with safety as the priority
- Teacher-to-child ratios below Texas state standards, meaning more attentive eyes on your child each day
- Technology systems with content restrictions that keep kids protected online
At Country Home, your child’s safety isn’t a policy; it’s our promise to you.
How We Keep Our Center Clean & Healthy
Keeping your child healthy starts with an environment that’s genuinely, thoroughly clean. Our health and sanitation practices include:
- A professional disinfection service that uses a long-lasting, EPA-approved antimicrobial treatment on high-touch surfaces — toys, doorknobs, counters, shared tables, restrooms, and play equipment — on a monthly basis and whenever extra protection is needed
- Classrooms cleaned and sanitized throughout the day, not just in the evenings
- Sinks, soap dispensers, and paper towel stations in each room, so proper handwashing is always within reach
- Especially strict handwashing and sanitation guidelines in our infant and toddler classrooms, because we know how much they matter at those ages
- Food preparation areas kept completely separate from classroom spaces to maintain proper sanitation standards
Our building-wide approach means these aren’t just habits. They’re expectations we maintain daily.
How We Prepare for Emergencies
At Country Home Learning Center, we believe that preparedness is one of the most important things we can offer your family. Our detailed Emergency Preparedness Plan covers a full range of scenarios, including fire, severe weather, medical emergencies, lockdown situations, and other unforeseen events. We have clear, practiced protocols for each of them.
Our staff is thoroughly trained in these procedures, and we conduct routine drills so that if the unexpected ever happens, our team responds quickly, calmly, and effectively. Because the best thing we can do in a crisis is already know exactly what to do.
How We Handle Meals & Nutrition
Country Home Learning Center is proud to offer nutritious, home-cooked meals. Our morning snack, typically hot lunch, and afternoon snack are prepared at the Center and served in each classroom.
All of our meals are well-balanced and planned to meet your child’s nutritional requirements. Our menus are posted monthly, and copies are available from the Director. You are welcome and encouraged to drop by and join your child for lunch when your schedule permits. Just let us know by 10am so that we can include you in our lunch plans.
We ask that our parents encourage their children to either eat breakfast before coming to school or join us for our optional breakfast program. This gives your child the extra fuel needed for a busy morning!
