Daycare & Preschool

In Northwest Austin, Texas

Welcome to Country Home Learning Center’s Northwest Austin campus, where big ideas, hands-on learning, and genuine care are experienced every day.

Serving this community since 1996, our campus is situated along the Hwy 183 and FM 620 corridor. Our learning center is a convenient choice for busy families throughout Anderson Mill, Cedar Park, Jollyville, and Lakeline, serving the 78750, 78729, and 78613 zip codes. We proudly serve families from the Round Rock Independent School District and Austin Independent School District communities. We welcome children from 6 weeks through 13 years, providing infant and toddler care, preschool and kindergarten classes, as well as after-school and summer camp programs.

Our experienced teachers bring our Cognia-accredited, play-based curriculum to life through hands-on enrichment, creative exploration, and activities designed to build the whole child—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

We believe every child deserves to be truly seen, and that starts with who’s in the room. Our teacher-to-child ratios meet or are are lower than Texas state licensing standards at every age, so your child gets more one-on-one time, more meaningful connections, and more of the attentive care they deserve. It’s one of the many ways we seek to know your child and encourage their development.

Our Texas Rising Star and Texas School Ready certified center is more than just a daycare, it’s a place where curiosity thrives, confidence grows, and every child is set up for success in school and beyond. We’d love to show you around. Come tour our campus and see why Texas families have trusted Country Home for over 40 years.

FAQs

About Childcare at Country Home Learning Center

Why do families choose your Northwest Austin location over nearby competitors?2026-05-26T09:18:02-04:00

It comes down to a few things families consistently mention: staff who stay year after year, a Cognia-accredited curriculum, fresh home-cooked meals, and the trust that comes with choosing a locally owned center with deep roots in the Austin community. Additionally, our teacher-to-child ratios are lower than Texas state licensing standards at every age, so your child gets more one-on-one time, more meaningful connections, and more of the attentive care they deserve.

How does your Northwest Austin location compare to childcare options in Cedar Park or Round Rock?2026-04-28T15:12:30-04:00

Families who consider centers in Cedar Park or Round Rock often find that our Northwest Austin campus offers the best of both worlds, a location that provides your child with engaging amenities, including a splash pad and water deck, and an engaging accredited curriculum, with the smaller class sizes and community feel that larger suburban centers sometimes lack.

What safety measures are in place at your Northwest Austin campus?2026-05-26T09:23:26-04:00
At Country Home Learning Center, the well-being of every child is our highest priority. Your child’s safety isn’t a policy; it’s our promise to you. We are committed to creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence. Our staff follows strict health and safety procedures designed to protect children and maintain a secure learning environment for families and employees.
From the moment you walk through our doors, safety is built into everything at Country Home Learning Center. Our building uses a controlled entry system, so only authorized individuals ever set foot inside. Every classroom is designed for clear, unobstructed visibility, so no child is ever out of a teacher’s sight. Our administrators monitor classrooms to ensure that safety procedures are consistently followed, and all staff are required to pass thorough background checks both before they’re hired and throughout their employment. Outside, our children play in fully fenced, secure areas, and every off-site activity or field trip is carefully planned with safety as the priority.
Do parents in Northwest Austin typically choose you for long-term care?2026-04-28T11:22:21-04:00

Yes. Many families enroll as infants or toddlers and stay through elementary school in our after-school and summer programs because of the consistency of care and the strong relationships their children build with our staff over time. That continuity is something parents in this area tell us they value most.

What makes your Northwest Austin childcare center different from larger daycare chains along the 183 corridor?2026-04-28T15:22:16-04:00

In an area with several large national childcare chains, we stand out as a locally owned and operated early childhood center focused on small class sizes, consistent teachers, and individualized attention. Our Northwest Austin campus emphasizes relationship-based care and long-term staff stability, both of which are hard to find at a larger chain. This creates a family atmosphere where your child is truly known, cared for, and a special part of our community.

Do you offer structured learning for preschool-aged children in Northwest Austin?2026-04-28T15:21:22-04:00

Yes. Our curriculum is accredited by Cognia, the same accreditation body that evaluates K-12 public and private schools. Our Cognia accreditation means our program meets rigorous educational standards. Our program focuses on reading readiness, verbal and language development, math concepts, the creative arts, and the reinforcement of cognitive skills. But academic preparation is only part of what we seek to grow in your child.  We’re equally intentional about social and emotional development. Children at our center receive a structured, developmentally appropriate experience designed to prepare them for kindergarten while fostering creativity and play.

About Country Home Learning Center’s Exceptional Child Care Programs

“We have trusted Country Home Learning Center (CHLC) to care for our daughters for the past 5 years since moving to Austin from NYC when my baby was just 6 months old, and my older one was 2.5 years old. My daughters are now 5 and 7, have graduated from Pre-K with Ms. Marsha, and will continue to attend Country Home year-round for summer camp and after-school care. CHLC is like a family to us. Our girls love their teachers and the staff, love their friends, have so much fun, and are so cared for while there.

The most important thing for a parent is ensuring that their children are around good-hearted individuals, safe, protected, learning, thriving, growing happily and healthfully. Our family is so thankful to have Country Home Learning as an extension of our family, caring for our children as if they were their own. Thank you so much, CHLC Family! We love y’all!”

Jessica TC, Country Home Learning Center Northwest Austin Parent

“My son has been attending CHLC for almost two years, and our experience has been wonderful. The small class sizes allow teachers to build strong relationships with their students, fostering trust and personalized learning. The well-equipped facilities ensure that every day is both fun and enriching. Our son has already learned so much through their engaging weekly lessons—and he’s not even two yet! I would definitely recommend this day care to others!”

Jenn F. , Country Home Learning Center Northwest Austin Parent

“Country Home strives to have a strong parent-teacher partnership with open communication and a collaborative approach between parents and teachers. It is crucial for our children’s success. It’s a learning center that encourages parent involvement and respects the family language and culture and demonstrates a deep understanding of a child’s development.”

Brandi R. , Country Home Learning Center Northwest Austin Parent

“My son has been going here for a year already. I decided that I must write a review about this awesome place. I totally recommend this day care to everyone. Mrs. Betsy in the office is great! She is always on top of everything and is a great help. She welcomes you with a smile every time and understands you.

In addition, they have a great variety of cultures there, which I personally love. They have teachers who are native Spanish speakers. Of course, since I’m half Hispanic, I loved that my son had the chance to practice his Spanish with others, not just me. His elementary school doesn’t have bilingual classes. If you want your kiddos to be in a friendly, sweet, and safe environment, this is definitely the place to go.”

Angie F. , Country Home Learning Center Northwest Austin Parent

“I am so happy and confident having my son at this day care. The teachers are super professional. Here, my son has learned to interact with other children. I love it when he tells me about his reading and his amazing games. He’s truly happy to be there. Every day he has different activities, which is great. He loves to paint and do different arts and crafts, and this is a special place that inspires his creativity. His teachers guide his work. It was definitely one of my best decisions to take my son to this special place. I highly recommend it.”
