Fall is here, which means there’s a new lineup of in-season produce. Planning meals with in-season produce is a great way to introduce your kids to new foods, try new recipes, and save a few dollars along the way (in-season produce is usually on sale!).
If your child is on the picky side, you can try to make trying new foods fun by giving her the option to choose five new foods to try each season. Print out a list of the in-season foods, or even better, print out pictures of the produce items, and let your child choose the ones to try. Giving them this controlled choice might make them more excited to try the new food when the time comes. You might even pick a few items that you haven’t tried yourself! Why not make it a family effort to try new, in-season foods for the first time? If you’re not sure where to start, start with the list below!
