Easy Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Since tomorrow is National Cherry Cobbler Day, we wanted to use today’s blog post to share an easy cherry cobbler recipe you can make this week! Cobbler is the perfect summer dessert. Top it with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream…what could be better? The recipe we’re sharing below is perfect for little helping hands.

Easy Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup cake flour all-purpose flour works too
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 21 oz. can cherry pie filling

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Pour melted butter in the bottom of a 2.5 quart baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk until combined.
  3. Pour batter over the butter in baking dish. Don’t stir.
  4. Pour cherry pie filling over the batter. Don’t stir.
  5. Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Simple, right? Let your little chef help by pouring in the batter and cherry pie filling. All that’s left to do is add a big scoop of ice cream and enjoy!
