Introducing Our Distance Learning Program

Written by Country Home Learning Center on August 10, 2020

We are already a week into the month of August, which means the beginning of the new school year is right around the corner and back-to-school preparations are in full swing! We know that as a parent, you are preparing for this new school year differently than any year before. Instead of excitedly taking your child to the store to pick out new school supplies and a first-day-of-school outfit, you are being faced with tough decisions during these unsettling times. We realize there are a lot of uncertainties surrounding in-person learning, so we want to give you the flexibility to make the best child care decision for your child by providing you with options. In our continued efforts to serve and support you and your child, we will be accommodating both traditional After-School Care as well as the new Distance Learning format.

If you decide to enroll your child in our After-School program, we want to assure you that we will be following new after school pickup guidelines to ensure the safety and health of your child. We will be enforcing these guidelines:

  • We will take your child’s temperature before they enter the bus
  • We will ask health questions of your child before they enter the bus
  • We will require your child to wear a mask on the bus
  • We will seat your child and every other child apart from each other
  • We will daily sanitize our bus
  • We will require your child to wash their hands once we arrive at Country Home, before they even enter the building

If you choose to have your child attend our new Distance Learning format, we would like to partner with you on your school-age child’s learning by providing a classroom environment that will help facilitate their Distance Learning. Teachers will help your child with assignments if needed and support your child in adhering to their school provided schedule.

To find out more about how we are following health officials’ recommendations for local communities and schools, see our Distance Learning Program. If you have any further questions about either our After School or Distance Learning programs, feel free to contact us!
