Ringing in the new Year with kids means doing things a bit earlier than you used to. That doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun though! There are events happening all over Austin throughout the day end evening on New Year’s Eve that both you and your kids will love. Here’s a quick list of some of the fun New Year’s activities available to kids and families in Austin.
Noon Year’s Eve
The kids may not be able to make it to midnight, but noon is definitely do-able. There are a few places having “Noon Year’s Eve” parties where the kids can have a lot of fun and ring in the New Year at noon.
There are Noon Year’s Eve parties at Round Rock Library and the Lake Travis Community Library. The party in Round Rock runs from 11:30 to 12:30 and the one in lake Travis begins at 11:45 am. Both will have crafts, snacks, dancing and a countdown to noon!
Pinballz Arcade is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve party that costs $10 per child. There will be craft tables, snacks and you get $5 in game tokens as well. The event runs from 10:30 am til Noon, and usually se,ls out. So go to their website and contact them if interested.
Pump It Up also has a Noon Year’s Eve celebration. For $8 your child can bounce their way into the new year. You can follow the link to get more information and reserve your spot.
Other Events
Austin Park N Pizza is having a New Year’s Eve party all day Wednesday, December 31st from 11am-9pm. Families can enjoy free party favors, face painting and balloon drops with great prizes at 2pm and 6pm. For the $12 price you’ll get: Unlimited Laser Tag and Video Games, PLUS Unlimited Pizza, Pasta, Salad Desserts & fountain Drinks. If you’re kids love music, then check out “A New Year’s Eve Celebration with The Eggmen”. This concert by the award winning Beatles cover band will be at the Westin Austin at the Domain. The show runs from 6-7:30 pm. You can buy kids tickets for $12 and adult tickets for $18 from Brown Paper Tickets.
