Home Distance Learning Options

Dear Parents,

As we all look forward to fall and Back-to-School preparations, we are aware that the different school districts we service are offering different learning options. We realize that parents are faced with tough decisions during these unsettling times, and we want to give you the flexibility to make the best child care decision for your children by providing you with options.  In our continued efforts to serve and support our children and their parents, we will be accommodating both traditional After-School Care as well as the new Distance Learning format!

If you choose traditional After-School Care, you can be assured we will work with each Elementary School to follow their new after school pick up guidelines. We will require children to wear masks on the bus and at Country Home. We will seat the children in assigned seats on the bus and as far apart as possible. We will also provide daily sanitation of our buses. Once at Country Home, we will take their temperatures and ask health questions of children before they enter. Staff and Children will wash their hands upon entering the building.

For children who will be attending the Distance Learning format at Country Home, we would like to partner with you on your school-age child’s learning by providing a classroom environment that will help facilitate their Distance Learning. Teachers will help children with assignments if needed and support children in adhering to their school provided schedule.

We continue to follow health officials’ recommendations for local communities and for schools. On a daily basis, we will take temperatures, ask health questions and have Staff and children wash their hands upon arrival. We currently limit the number of students per class and limit mixing of classes. We are highly recommending that all Distance Learners (children old enough for elementary school who are entering the school year remotely) wear a face mask while at Country Home. Please remember that the State requires students 10 years old and older to wear a mask when around others. (Per the CDC, face masks are optional when the children are outside on the playground.) Parents dropping off and picking up are also required to wear masks.

With the new smaller class sizes, we will have limited spaces for fall, so please talk to the Directors or Front Office Staff to register for either the After-School Care or the Distance Learning option as soon as possible! Thank you for your continued trust and allowing us to care for your children!

Stay Well!
