No matter how you concoct, every recipe calls for the same basic ingredients. Can you guess which one isn’t on Starbucks’ list?

Approximate Ingredients:
2 tbsp pureed pumpkin
2 tbsp vanilla
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 cups milk (whole preferred)
1/4-1/2 cup strong coffee or espresso

If you guessed pumpkin, that’s right! There’s actually no pumpkin in your Pumpkin Spice Latte, believe it or not. You will need to break out your saucepan to heat the milk, sugar, and puree. Then you’ll want a blender to make it smooth before foamy. And don’t worry. The satisfaction of making the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte all yours far outweighs a few extra dishes.
