Craft Stick Sled Ornament

You will need:
- Craft sticks
- White and blue paint
- Hemp cording
- Assorted gemstones
- Glue
- Optional: Hot glue gun (with adult assistance)
Directions:
- Lay four craft sticks flat down next to each other.
- Glue another craft stick diagonally along the back.
- Paint the center sticks blue, then paint the outside sticks white.
- Paint three more craft sticks blue.
- Once the paint is dry, glue the three craft sticks on top of the additional craft sticks.
- Glue a craft stick on either side of the sled’s bottom.
- Cut a six-inch piece of hemp cording.
- Glue this to the top of the sled’s bottom.
- Tie in a bow and decorate the homemade sled with silver gemstones.
Mason Jar Wonderland
Explore your creative side this holiday season with this pretty mason jar wonderland scene.
You will need:
- Large mason jar
- Fairy string lights
- Mini snowman
- Artificial snow
- Bottle brush trees
Directions:
- Open the mason jar, then add some artificial snow.
- Add the bottle brush trees and the miniature snowman.
- Add the fairy lights (attach the battery pack to the lid)
- Close the top of the jar and display
Handprint Bird Painting
This handprint bird painting would make a pretty card for your kids to send loved ones and friends. All you will need is some paper, paint, and paintbrushes to complete this craft.
You will need:
- Construction paper
- Red or blue paint
- Black paint
- Brown paint
- Orange paint
- White paint
- Paintbrushes
Directions:
- Brush blue or red paint on your child’s hand and your hand.
- Spread your hands evenly across the paper.
- Use brown paint to make the branches.
- Create a mask around the birds’ faces and their feet with the black paint.
- Using the orange paint, add a beak to the thumb of the handprints.
- Add snow to the branches with white paint, and then add dots of falling snow.
- Add eyes to the birds’ faces with a dot of white paint.
- Let dry and hang or send to friends.
Tealight Snowman Ornaments
Add a festive glow to your home this holiday season with these tealight snowman ornaments.
You will need:
- 10 battery-operated tealights
- Black marker
- Black construction paper
- Thin red ribbon
- Thick red ribbon
- Pipe cleaners
- Small multicolored pom-poms
- Glue stick
- Glue dots
Directions:
- Cut five black snowman hats from the black construction paper.
- Glue a thin red ribbon between the rim and the top of the hats.
- Draw eyes and a dotted smile around the tealight with black marker to make a snowman face.
- Use glue dots to put hats onto the snowmen’s heads.
- Attach the pom-poms to the sides of the heads using glue dots.
- Glue pipe cleaner pieces between the pom-poms for an earmuff line on the top of each head.
